ENTRIES are now being accepted for the 19th annual Eileen Elliott 19x Memorial Competition.
The event is played on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer and started in 1990.
In its first four years it raised just under £2,500 for the Yorkshire Cancer Research fund.
In 1993 organisers decided the funds to be issued more locally so set up the Scarborough Hospital Chem otherapy Fund.
All of the money raised throughout the competition is given to the MacMillan Nurses at Scarborough Hospital and the money is entirely at their disposal.
Last year’s competition raised £1,487 and saw the running total reach £21,536.
The tournament is a Ladies Pairs knockout and carries a first prize of £150.
The entry fee is £4 per pair and forms are available from the Leeds Hotel or by contacting 515187.
Forms and fees should be returned to the Leeds Hotel no later than this Friday, June 13.
